This song has a long and interesting history. It started as a folk song from the Eastern Mediterranean in the 1920s. But our version is based on Dick Dale’s 1962 “surf rock” version, which was also featured in the movie “Pulp Fiction”. You can hear the ukulele tremolo parts in this version.
