A Note About the Written Word

We feel great affinity and respect for these islands, the culture and language. We want to acknowledge that there should be an ʻokina in the word Hawaiʻi and ʻukulele to be true to the language of Hawaiʻi. However the limitations of internet search engines make using these marks on our website problematic. So, we will refrain from using the ʻokina and kāhako markings when writing Hawaiian words on our webpage, but will do our best to properly spell Hawaiian words in our hard copy publications.
